We successfully organized a blood donation drive in collaboration with Himalayan Whitehouse International College, on February 22, 2024. Nepal Red Cross Society, Pulchowk collected an impressive total of 30 pints of blood. This amount is sufficient to potentially save the lives of 90 individuals in need! Out of the 30 people who registered for the event, 25 were found eligible to donate blood. The remaining individuals were unable to donate due to various health issues and other reasons. Among the eligible donors, we had a participation of 26 males and 4 females.
To enhance the engagement of the blood donors, we incorporated witty props during the event and captured memorable pictures, which were shared on social media platforms.
all blood donors were provided with food. We also implemented a digital system to streamline the blood donation process, ensuring that every detail from collection to supply was accurately recorded and managed.
Furthermore, as an added gesture of gratitude, we sent a thank-you SMS to each donor once their donated blood was utilized to save a life. This initiative aimed to demonstrate our deep appreciation for their selfless act and to keep them informed about the positive impact of their contribution.
